SAINT LOUIS – The Missouri State women's tennis closed out its nonconference schedule against Saint Louis here Thursday afternoon, falling to the Billikens, 4-0. 

Similarly, to their past several matches, the Bears were down a doubles pair and singles player and faced off against Saint Louis (10-5) with five available players. MSU dropped the doubles point, as both pairs fell to their opponents, 6-3. In singles play, Mara Presot was defeated in Flight 5 by Mya Spencer, 6-1, 6-1. The Billikens clinched the match with a win in the second position, as Sandra Lukacova fell, 6-2, 6-0 to Elizabeth Mintusova. 

"Today we got off to a slow start against a good team. We haven't played a match in a while and it showed," said head coach Randall Knox. "We're looking forward to this upcoming week to get better and back on court next weekend as we enter conference play." 

The Bears have a week off before beginning their conference slate at Bradley on April 2. The match against the Braves will begin at 1 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN3.
