SPRINGFIELD -- The highest-scoring tandem in Bears basketball history has garnered additional postseason honors this week with standouts
Isiaih Mosley (Jr., Columbia, Mo.) and
Gaige Prim (Sr., Aurora, Colo.) receiving accolades from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
The All-MVC first-team honorees became the first Missouri Valley teammates to earn first-team honors in back-to-back years since 2015-16. They combined to score 1,247 points this season while leading coach
Dana Ford's squad to a 23-11 record, second-place finish in the MVC, and the club's first NIT appearance since 2011.

Mosley made the NABC and USBWA All-Region first-teams after averaging 20.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He also knocked down 70 3-pointers, shot 50.4 percent from the field, 42.7 percent from 3-point range and 90.2 percent at the free throw. His 692 points this season was the second-highest, single-season scoring total in program history.Â
During the season, Mosley was a five-time MVC Player of the Week, earned a spot on the MVC All-Tournament Team and was named national player of the week by four organizations on Jan. 24. He was also named to the mid-major All-America first team by ESPN's Kevin Connors and finished second in the MVC Larry Bird Player of the Year voting. It is his second straight season landing on the NABC All-Region first team.
Prim also made the NABC All-Region first team for the second year in a row after posting 16.3 points and a team-best 8.0 rebounds per game as a senior while converting 56.6 percent of his field goals and 78.7 percent of his free throws. He also racked up 59 assists, 41 blocks and 29 steals in 34 appearances, while earning a spot on the Naples Invitational All-Tournament Team. Prim finished his three-year stint in Springfield with 1,338 points and 627 rebounds in 86 games while closing out his tenure ranked 15th on the school's career scoring list.

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association was formed in 1956 at the urging of then-NCAA Executive Director Walter Byers. Today, it is one of the most influential organizations in college basketball. It is organized into nine regions. The USBWA consists of 24 districts.
As a team, the Bears eclipsed single-season records for total points (2,628), 3-pointers (283) and free throw percentage (.797), while boasting three players with 70 or more threes –
Ja'Monta Black (77), Minnett (74) and Mosley (70) – for the first time in school history.
