ST. LOUIS -- With the Missouri Valley Conference's release of its national and regional television schedule this week, the Bears 2022-23 broadcast schedule has begun to take focus for the upcoming campaign.

The MVC's "Wildcard" package could potentially land the Bears on national or regional telecasts on Jan. 1 (vs. Drake); Jan. 7 (at Belmont); Jan. 21 (vs. Southern Illinois); and Feb. 26 (at Indiana State), with network assignments announced two weeks prior to each of those games. Those games could potentially air on ESPN2, ESPNU, CBS Sports or the MVC-TV Network with non-selected games reverting to local ESPN+/ESPN3 broadcasts.

The Bears are locked into at least one national telecast with the Feb. 21 home game against Murray State set to air on CBS Sports Network.

The MVC-TV Network, which includes Bally Sports Midwest, Bally Sports Indiana, Bally Sports Kansas City, Bally Sports South and NBC Sports Chicago, will air at least four Bears games. League contests on Jan. 18 (at Drake); Jan. 28 (at Murray State); Feb. 5 (at Southern Illinois); and Feb. 8 (vs. Belmont) will be picked up by the league's regional partners.

At least 14 other MSU games, including 10 Valley games and nine home games, will be featured on The Valley on ESPN, which includes streaming broadcasts on ESPN+ or ESPN3, which will be announced at a later date.

Local TV partner KOZL-TV will air the Nov. 19 home game against Middle Tennessee, which will also be shared to the MVC's streaming partner, ESPN.

Missouri State is coming off a 23-11 campaign in which the Bears finished as runners-up in the Missouri Valley Conference, earning a berth in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) for the first time since 2011. Ford's fifth season in Springfield will feature a revamped roster that includes MVC All-Defensive Team standout Donovan Clay and fellow senior Dawson Carper along with a cast of 14 newcomers in the fold.
