SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State University will be hosting a free fan event, "A Night at BearFest Village" on Thursday, Aug. 19, starting at 6 p.m.
 
The fun and family-oriented party will take place in and around Robert W. Plaster Stadium on the Springfield campus and will officially kick off the athletic year. The event will give fans of all ages an opportunity to interact with MSU coaches and student-athletes with free food and drinks, games and a live performance by local band, Members Only.

Parking will be available south of the stadium and in the BearPark South Parking Garage. Fans are also asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Season ticket information for football, volleyball, and basketball will also be available on site.
