ST. LOUIS – The Missouri State women's swimming and diving team picked up another individual honor as the MVC announced Wednesday (March 10) that Ashley Yarbrough was named diver of the week.

Yarbrough, a senior from Ballwin, Mo., was dominant in last weekend's dual at SIU, winning both of her events. Yarbrough won the 1-meter dive with a score of 265.19, while she was also victorious in the 3-meter dive, where she posted a 290.33 mark.  

"Ashley continues to work hard in the dryland as well as in the pool," Head Diving Coach Jim Huelskamp said. "Ashley consistently works on her set goals to better herself at each meet. I am extremely proud of her for the time and hard work she puts into her craft."

The distinction is Yarbrough's second MVC Diver of the week award this season, as she previously won the award back on Feb. 3  

The Bears will continue the 2020-21 season Saturday, March 19-20, when they visit Indiana State.
