SPRINGFIELD – Senior
Anna Miller set two Hammons Student Center Pool records in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle in the Bears' dual against Missouri on Saturday afternoon.
"I was really happy with how I swam today," Miller reflected. "I swam some events today that I don't usually swim during the season, and I surprised myself a little bit. We all raced tough today. We rose to the level of competition we were racing against. That was the best we have performed against Mizzou in a long time. I am proud of how everyone has come off a tough couple of weeks training."
Miller won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.07, breaking the previous record set by Missouri's Allison Bloebaum in 2019 by over two seconds. The mark was the second-fastest in program history and 48
th nationally this season. Miller followed up her performance by clocking a 54.03 to win the100 butterfly, breaking former Bear Sydney Zupan's (55.12) record set in 2016.

"I really appreciate Coach Grevers and Mizzou for coming down here," head coach
Dave Collins said. "They are a top-ten ranked program in the country. It means a lot for them to come compete with us. This was the first time in a while competing against Mizzou where we really raced and competed. I was happy to see that. This was the best our women have performed and got up for a big opponent. It is a good sign as we move into the second part of our season and focus for championships. I am really thrilled with how both groups swam."
