"I am extremely excited about Elizaveta and Juliette joining our program this January," said head coach Randall Knox. "We are in the process of establishing what type of culture we want for this program, and I'm excited about these two young ladies becoming part of a new era here at Missouri State University."Â
Joining the Bears for the 2022 spring season are:Â
Elizaveta Morozova (5'5, Fr. Moscow, Russia, Znaika High School)Â
Morozova joins the Bears from Moscow, Russia. She attended Znaika High School and will attend MSU as a freshman after spending years competing in the ITF Junior Circuit and the WTA Circuit. She holds a Universal Tennis Ranking (UTR) high of 10.24.Â
Coach Knox on Morozova:Â Â
"We are thrilled that Elizaveta has decided to become a Bear. She is one of the top U19 girls in Russia being ranked in top 35. She has had an outstanding career so far and I am looking forward to her development in our program. She is the "so-called' perfect student-athlete that every coach dreams of having on their team with great academics, great work ethic. She will make an immediate impact for program present and the future. We are looking forward to her arrival this upcoming January."Â
Juliette Robinson (Fr., 5'5, Adelaide, South Australia, Marryatville High School)Â
Robinson joins the Bears from Adelaide, South Australia where she attended Marryatville High School and started every year on its tennis team. She went undefeated all four years of high school and helped her team finish first at the South Australian High School Tennis State Championship her senior year. She also won the individual tennis award her final year of high school and made the final of the South Australia Individual Tennis Championship as well. Robinson reached a UTR high of 8.96.Â
Coach Knox on Robinson:Â
"I'm thrilled to have such a high character person and great player in Juliette joining the Bear Family in Jan. Juliette is a very talented and extremely hard worker. She is going to bring so much energy and straight grit to this team where I can't wait to have her part of the Bear family here. She excels in the classroom as well and has been so grateful for the opportunity that has been presented to her. I think she is just scratching the surface with her abilities and looking forward to watching her mature and grow into a player and person she is meant to be."Â
