Senior CLASS Award

Hiebert a Finalist for Senior CLASS Award

October 28, 2021

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Missouri State's Kyle Hiebert is one of 10 finalists announced Thursday for the Senior CLASS Award in soccer, an honor given annually to an NCAA Division I senior with notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.

Hiebert has excelled both on and off the field throughout his time at Missouri State. He recently earned a Master of Accountancy with a 3.92 GPA and is now pursuing a Data Analytics certificate through the Master of Accountancy program as well.

Hiebert has compiled numerous accolades and honors while being a multi-year team captain for the Bears. At the conclusion of the 2021 spring season, he was announced as the CoSIDA All-American of the Year. The senior defender is also a three-time MVC Defensive Player of the Year, a four-time member of the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team, and a two-time member of the MAC Hermann watch list candidate pool, which he was named a finalist of last season.

Ballots are now open and include a fan voting component that accounts for one-third of the final vote total, with the ballots closing on Nov. 22. The remaining two-thirds is determined by NCAA Division I coaches and national media members.

The Senior CLASS Award winners will be announced during the 2021 NCAA Men's and Women's College Cup® championships in December.
