
Bears Finish Up Play at Ozarks National

Final Results
HOLLISTER, Mo. -- The Missouri State women's golf team placed 11th at the Ozarks National Invitational on Wednesday (Oct. 20). The Bears posted a final-round 307 and finished with a 934 total for 54 holes around the Ozarks National layout. The MSU Maroon team finished 12th with a 949 total.
Senior Abby Cavaiani paced the Bears on Wednesday, firing an even-par 72 to tie for 21st with a 226 total. Sophomore Kayla Pfitzner was a shot back with a final-round 74 and 227 tally for the tournament. Next came junior Faith Hopkins with 72-81-79--232 and tied for 41st, while freshman Helena Bel recorded her best collegiate outing with 81-77-76--234 to tie for 47th.
Oral Roberts captured the team title, shooting one-under-par 863 for the tournament on the strength of medalist Sarah Bell's 69-68-65--202 performance, 14 under par. Arkansas State edged Central Arkansas for second place, 874-875. Middle Tennessee was fourth with 894, followed by Murray State (902), Creighton (910), Toledo (911), Wichita State (918), and Cincinnati and Southern Illinois (922) rounding out the top 10 in the 15-team field.
The Bears will close out their fall season Sunday thru Tuesday (Oct. 24-26) at the Little Rock Classic in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
