SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State men's soccer program released Thursday (Dec. 17) its schedule for the upcoming 2020-21 season which features seven home matches at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium.

"We are thrilled to announce a projected schedule for this upcoming spring season," said sports director Michael Seabolt. "Our team would like to thank our university and athletic administrators, doctors, training room personnel, professors, academic support staff and the rest of the Missouri State community for helping us get to this point. We are excited to have the opportunity to play and compete."

The Bears will play two exhibition matches at home against Missouri S&T (Jan. 27) and Drury (Jan. 30) before kicking off a regular season that includes three non-conference matches and an eight-game Missouri Valley Conference stretch. The league portion of the schedule consists of a double, round-robin format with a home and away series for each of the five Valley teams.

MSU opens up the regular season on the road in a non-conference showdown at Saint Louis on Feb. 7.

As the reigning MVC regular-season champions, Missouri State begins the defense of its Valley crown inside Allison South against Bradley on Feb. 14.

MSU's first league road contest features a trip to Des Moines, Iowa to face off against Drake on Feb. 21.

The Bears take a break from MVC action with back-to-back non-conference matches, traveling to play Kansas City on Feb. 25 before returning to Springfield to host SIUE on March 1.

The March conference slate includes home matches against Loyola (March 7) and Drake (March 24) surrounding a two-game road trip to Evansville (March 13) and Bradley (March 19).

Following a road match at Loyola on April 3, the Bears close out league play at home with the regular-season finale against Evansville on April 9.

The MVC Tournament will be hosted at the site of the higher seeds and will take place April 13-17.

"Our team has been looking forward to playing games again," added head coach Jon Leamy. "The guys worked very hard in the spring and the summer on their own and have continued to train well with the coaching staff since they returned to campus in the fall. Hopefully, their commitment will be rewarded with on-field success in 2021."
