- The Bears produced six individual titles over the three-day meet, taking both 500 freestyle races (Howell & Krawczyk), 400 IM (Radloff), 1650 freestyle (Howell & Thomas), and the 100 freestyle (Miller).
- MSU swept the Salukis in both squads' conference opener, with the men cruising to a 159-82 win while the women edged past Southern Illinois by a slimmer 132-111 margin. Both teams combined for 13 first-place individual titles.
- Senior day proved to be big for the Bears, as they nearly swept the freestyle events and Haley Allen notched her first collegiate win in the 200 butterfly.
- Libby Howell and Antonio Thomas set the Bears on a winning course in the opening individual event against the Salukis, each handily securing the top spot in the 1000 freestyle by a solid 10-plus second differential. Both swimmers would also run away with the 500 freestyle later in the conference dual.
- The Bears swam close against both nationally-ranked Missouri squads, impressing in the freestyle portion with runner-up finishes from Libby Howell, Antonio Thomas, and Samantha Hietpas.
- Saturday's meet signals the beginning of league swims, as MSU starts Missouri Valley Conference and Mid-American Conference competition.
- After a successful weekend at the Indiana State Invitational, Libby Howell and Ashley Yarbrough swept the Missouri Valley Conference swimmer and diver of the week honors. Howell produced three deciding freestyle swims at the Indiana State Invitational this past weekend, winning the 200 (1:48.98), 500 (4:52.88), and 1650 freestyle (16:55.92) events against the University of Indianapolis and host Indiana State. All three times top the Missouri Valley Conference and rank within the top 40 nationally. Her 1650 freestyle time stands at #6 in NCAA Division I. Yarbrough claimed both diving events for the Bears at the Indiana State Invitational, recording first-place finishes on the 1-meter (243.10) and 3-meter (275.40) boards. - Arthur Cury impressed on the men's side, picking up four individual wins in the 200 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 free, and 100 free. His 200 IM and 200 free times top the MAC and rank among the top-25 nationally.
