CONWAY, Ark. – Mara Presot and Alyson Piskulic each picked up singles flight victories for the Missouri State women's tennis team on day two of the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Fall Invitational Saturday.
 
Presot cruised to the fight eight singles championship, stringing together an 8-2 decision against Harding and an 8-4 mark in the semifinals over NEO. She earned the title after claiming another 8-4 victory against another NEO opponent.
 
Piskulic found similar success in the flight seven singles bracket, downing Harding in a straight-set 7-5, 7-5 quarterfinal win before moving on to the semifinals where she handed her opponent an 8-1 defeat. The Bears clinched their second singles flight title as Piskulic defeated fellow teammate Alexia Meyer 8-3. Meyer also made it to the championship round after key victories over NEO and ASU.
 
Newcomer Taylor Shaw picked up a couple singles wins, going three sets in a 4-6, 6-2, 11-9 quarterfinals victory and taking the 9-7 consolation decision to earn third place.
 
The Bears take a two-week hiatus before traveling to Cedar Falls, Iowa for the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships on Oct. 4-6.
