CHESTERTON, Ind. -- Inclement weather has altered the schedule at the start of the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship. With a forecast calling for a strong chance of rain, wind and snow, conference officials and coaches have made the decision to postpone Sunday's (Apr. 14) scheduled first round and begin the tournament with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start for the first 36 holes Monday and then play the final round as planned beginning with tee times at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Missouri State is the two-time defending champion and the pre-tournament favorite to win this year in the a poll of the league's coaches. The tournament is being played at Sand Creek Country Club and will play to a par of 72 at 6,074 yards.
