SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State will finish the home portion of its 2019 beach volleyball Wednesday, March 27, with a 3 p.m. dual against Park University at the Betty & Bobby Allison Sand Volleyball Courts. 

The Bears have won their last four matches to tie the longest streak in school history, including a trio of 5-0 victories at last week's MSU Beach Invitational.

Missouri State is 9-8 on the season after an 0-4 start, and the team's current four-match win streak ties the longest on school history...MSU is 4-0 all-time in home matches, winning all four by a 5-0 score...Six of MSU's eight losses have been to teams ranked 19th or higher in the AVCA Top 20 poll...Sydney LeMay and Sam Brinkmann tied a school record with five consecutive victories from March 2-March 13...LeMay (11 wins) and freshman Kylee Davis (10) have both surpassed last season's high for individual wins, while Brinkmann, Bentley Mara, Sarah Demmer and Kelsey Larsen all have nine victories apiece...Brinkmann and Demmer are tied for MSU's career lead with 18 victories in two seasons...The Bears own a 13-4 record in the fourth flight this season with seven different pairs...MSU owns an overall 48-37 (.565) pairs record this season...Missouri State defeated Park by a 5-0 score on March 22 in Springfield, allowing no more than 17 points in any of the 10 sets.

About Beach Volleyball
As of January 2019, there were 82 NCAA schools that fielded a beach volleyball team, and 16 NAIA schools with programs.
    A match is two sets to 21 points with a 15-point third set if needed, and all sets are rally scoring. Each school divides its roster into five teams of two players each (10 total players will compete for each school in a match), and the winner is the school that captures three of the five matches between the two-player teams.
