Jack Knoesel has been named Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after posting a top-10 finish at a tournament earlier this week. Knoesel fired 72-68-67--207 at The Country Club at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, La., a career-best 54-hole total, to finish eighth of 94 players in a strong field at the Lake Charles Toyota Invitational this past Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 18-19).
A native of Columbia, Mo., Knoesel currently is ranked 12th in the Valley with a 73.43 scoring average after earning all-conference honors a year ago. This marks the third time he's won the league's weekly honor.
