MURRAY, Ken. – In their second tilt over a three-day period, the Missouri State women's tennis team (5-5) fell shy in a couple key matchups to drop 6-1 against Murray State Saturday afternoon.
"Tough match up and down the lineup," said head coach
Mallory Weber. "We had opportunities at every position but Murray State played the big moments much stronger."
Murray State opened doubles play with a win in the third flight, but the tandem of
Anna Alons and

A tight contest in the No. 2 position favored the Racers, who beat out

Mara Presot, 7-6, for the doubles point.
Murray State (5-4) took the first three singles points in the first, fourth, and third flights to clinch the match.
Anna Alons earned the lone win for the Bears in a three-set 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory.
