AUSTIN, Texas – Missouri State's swimming and diving standouts
Ashley Yarbrough and
Michael Claunch competed in day one of the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Monday.
In the men's preliminary 1-meter round, Claunch placed 29
th, scoring 240.90.
"Michael did a great job at his first zone championship," said head diving coach
James Huelskamp. "I truly feel he will gain from this experience."
Yarbrough placed 33
rd on the 3-meter boards, coming in at 261.65 points. Her total was the highest of any female Missouri State diver at the zone championships.
Competition will resume tomorrow with the men's 3-meter at 11 a.m. and the women's 1-meter at 5 p.m.
