
Franklin Named MVC Player of the Week for Second Time This Month

St. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second time in the last three weeks, Missouri State's Jasmine Franklin was selected as the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball.
Franklin collected her fifth double-double of the season in Sunday's 79-72 win over Missouri, posting 20 points and 13 rebounds.
The sophomore forward from Fayetteville, Ark., shot 7-for-8 from the floor and 6-for-7 at the foul line against the Tigers, extending her streak of consecutive field goal makes to 17. She also added a steal in 29 minutes of action.
Franklin, who also won the award on Dec. 2, and the 18th-ranked Lady Bears (9-1) return to action with a high-profile game at No. 17 Gonzaga at 8 p.m. Central.
