ST. LOUIS – After hauling in a first-place and record-setting finish in the 100 free at the Southern Methodist University Invitational,
Anna Miller has been named Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday.
Miller impressed at the three-day Southern Methodist University Invitational, turning in an individual title effort in the 100 free (49.47) and a runner-up finish in the 50 free (22.74). Both times top the MVC and rank among the national standings at No. 55 and No. 58, respectively. Her 100 free swim set a MSU team record in the short-distance event.
The St. Louis product also swam a top-five time in the 100 fly, clocking in at fourth with a 54.22 mark and a seventh-place swim in the 200 free (1:51.09).
The Bears take a short hiatus before returning to Hammons Student Center Pool for a crosstown dual against Drury on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
