Abby Cavaiani has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive time after finishing seventh earlier this week (Oct. 20-22) at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The sophomore from Wales, Wis. shot 71-72-71--214, two-under-par, in three trips around the Cypress Links course at Lakewood Ranch Country Club.
Cavaiani, last year's MVC Newcomer of the Year and conference medalist, won the same award earlier this month after the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo. She currently leads the Valley with a 73.58 scoring average and has finished in the top 10 in all four tournaments so far this fall. MSU will close out its fall season next Sunday-Tuesday (Oct. 27-29) at the Little Rock Classic in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
