Max Kreikemeier has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after a standout performance at the F&M Bank/APSU Intercollegiate in Dickson, Tenn. earlier this week. Kreikemeier shot a five-under-par 211 for 54 holes at Greystone Golf Club, carding rounds of 72-66-73 to tie for fifth and lead MSU to a four-place team finish Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 14-15).
A freshman from Chesterfield, Mo., Kreikemeier leads the Bears with a 72.22 scoring average through the first three tournaments and ranks fifth in the Valley. He and his teammates will close out the fall portion of their 2019-20 schedule next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 21-22) at the First Tee Classic in Little Rock, Ark.
