Abby Cavaiani has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after finishing eighth last week at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo.. The sophomore from Wales, Wis., shot 72-73-73--218, two over par for 54 holes at the Club at Old Hawthorne. She finished eighth to post her third top-10 finish in as many tournaments this season.
Cavaiani was the MVC's Newcomer of the Year last season and captured medalist honors at the MVC Championship. She currently leads the Valley with a 74.33 scoring average. Cavaiani shared the weekly honor with Hannah Bermel of UNI.
