CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior
Artur Osvath's efforts in the Missouri State swimming and diving men's team duals against crosstown rival Drury and nationally-ranked Missouri earned him Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week accolades, as announced by the league Wednesday.
Osvath had a standout weekend against rivals Drury and Missouri, pulling in four first-place individual finishes and was an intricate part of a 200 medley team victory. At Drury he won the 200 IM (1:49.25), 100 butterfly (47.81), and swam a leg in the Bears' first-place 200 medley (1:29.41) to help Missouri State take a dominant 169-65 victory. Osvath won another two events against nationally-ranked Missouri, in the 100 and 200 breaststroke with times of 54.70 and 1:58.16. His team also placed third in the 200 medley at 1:29.13.
The selection is Osvath's 11
th of his career, with it being his second this season.
Missouri State's swimming and diving men's team will compete in its last regular season meet on Friday, Jan. 25 – Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Shamrock Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
