Missouri State looks to extend its five-game winning streak Sunday afternoon at JQH Arena when the Lady Bears (6-7, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference) host Southern Illinois (8-5, 1-1) for a 2 p.m. contest.
MSU has averaged 16.4 more rebounds than the opposition over the last five games, and also puts a 10-game home MVC win streak on the line, which ties for the longest at JQH Arena.Â
Sunday is the annual We Back Pat game, and donations to the
Pat Summitt Foundation to help find a cure for Alzheimer's disease will be accepted inside the main entrance of JQH.
   MSU head coach
Kellie Harper, a point guard for Summitt at Tennessee in the late 1990s, enters the game with 99 victories at Missouri State, and a win would put her behind only Cheryl Burnett in terms of fewest games coached to reach 100 wins at the school.
Fans are encouraged to wear purple and orange to support the cause.
