SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Four Missouri State women's tennis players collected Missouri Valley Conference honors, the league announced at the Championship banquet Thursday.
Fati Khamissi and
Ellie Burger were named to the MVC All-Conference Team at Nos. 4 and 5 singles, respectively. Khamissi and
Alexia Meyer also collected all-conference honors at No. 3 doubles while
Alye Darter was named to the MVC All-Select Team.
"It is amazing to see how much this program has grown in four years," Head Coach
Mallory Weber said. "For us to have four of our seven players receive an All-Conference award, is a great accomplishment. The entire team has worked so hard throughout this season and it's great to see their hard work paying off."
This marks the most postseason awards the Bears have collected since the program was reinstated prior to the 2014-15 season.
A freshman from Chesterfield, Mo., Burger collected seven victories for the Bears this spring dual season, with six coming at the No. 5 singles position in the lineup. She also went 4-1 against MVC opponents.

She also collected MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team honors on Wednesday. At No. 3 doubles, Meyer and Khamissi picked up seven victories with three big wins against league opponents.
A sophomore from Rogers, Ark., Darter sits at 9-9 at No. 1 singles for the dual season with a 13-16 overall record on the year. She was named MVC Singles Player of the Week on Tuesday and MVC Scholar-Athlete honorable selection on Wednesday.
