CLEVELAND, Ohio – After claiming its 20
th conference crown at the 2018 Mid-American Conference Championship, the Missouri State men's swimming and diving team landed 13 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team, announced by the league Monday.

The 2018 team was made up of 65 student athletes from six programs in the conference. Eastern Michigan led the league with 17 student athletes on the squad.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year student-athletes are unable to be selected to the All-MAC Academic Team.

Sophomore
Samuel Senn led the Bears and was one of five swimmers around the league with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Thomas Heye and
Conner Ripp were the other sophomores to make the team while
Bryce Blattner,
Minki Kang,
Michael Mollak,
Artur Osvath,
Nicholas Theunissen and
Phillip Willett represented the junior class.

William Frisbie and
Christopher Heye were the four seniors to make the team.
