Rachel Johnson has scored her second consecutive Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week award after finishing second at the Little Rock Classic earlier this week.
Johnson led the Bears to a second-place finish by shooting 71-67-76--214, two under par, at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark., Sunday thru Tuesday (Oct. 28-30) to finish two strokes behind medalist Megan Clarke of Western Kentucky. Johnson won the same MVC honor two weeks ago after winning the Valley Preview in Valparaiso, Ind. Her second-round 67 tied her career-low first carded in the final round at last year's Missouri Valley Championship, which was her first collegiate victory.
The Anderson, Ind. native finished the fall season with a 74.93 scoring average and is ranked first in the MVC.
