SPRINGFIELD – In its final meet of the regular season, the Missouri State men's swimming and diving team will face stout competition at the Shamrock Invitational on Jan. 26-27 at the campus of Notre Dame.
At the invitational, the Bears will compete against No. 16 Ohio State, No. 22 Notre Dame, as well as Iowa and Wisconsin. The two-day meet features three sessions beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, followed by the second session at 4 p.m. Session three is slated for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Bear Bites
The Bears look to bounce back after an intense showdown against in-state foe Missouri. In the Bears' last home meet of the season,
Artur Osvath and
Antonio Thomas were the two Bears to bring in individual victories. Named the CollegeSwimming Mid Major National Swimmer of the Week, Osvath set two new pool records as well as a program and Mid-American Conference record in the 200 fly.
The veteran swimmer blew out the pool and school record in the 200 fly with a B-standard time of 1:44.86. He went on to break another pool record, this time in the 200 breast, with a B-standard time of 1:59.79. Thomas touched the wall first in the 1000 free, where he completed the event in 9:21.69.
Blair Bish remains No. 3 in the nation in the 100 breast after grinding out a time of 52.20 seconds at the Purdue Invitational. Six other Bears have posted top-100 times and the men lead the Mid-American Conference in 11 individual events and four relays.
