CONWAY, Ark. – Missouri State doubles pair sophomore
Alye Darter and freshman
Ellie Burger found their groove and completed the three-match sweep at the UCA Fall Classic on Saturday.
Darter and Burger first defeated UCA's Xylia Xiang and Amiru Shimoguchi 6-3. The duo, now 5-1 in the fall season, then collected a 6-0 victory over Pornapawee Pramethong and Marli Van Heerden to go undefeated.
"I'm really happy with the improvement in our doubles play," Missouri State head women's tennis coach
Mallory Weber said. "Even though singles didn't go our way today, our strategies and court awareness is stronger than week one.
"I am excited to see what this team can do at the MVC Individual Championships next week."
Junior
Phoebe Boeschen and
Anelisse Torrico Moreno also picked up a doubles victory, battling to a 6-4 win over Murray State's Jeanne Masson and Sara Bjork.
