SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State will host an open basketball scrimmage at JQH Arena on Saturday, October 28 as part of Homecoming Week activities on the Springfield campus.
 
The free event is open to the public and will feature the Lady Bears and Bears conducting preseason drills and interacting with fans.
 
Doors will open at 9:45 a.m., with the Lady Bears taking the floor at 10 a.m. and conducting a brief practice. The Bears will then entertain fans with a series of 10-minute intrasquad scrimmages as they also continue preparing for the upcoming campaign.
 
Both clubs will sign autographs and interact with fans who wish to attend.
 
The Bears will host Southwest Baptist at JQH Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in their only remaining preseason scrimmage game. The Lady Bears will entertain Lindenwood University on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. in their only preseason scrimmage contest.
 
Single-game tickets for the upcoming men's and women's basketball seasons at Missouri State University will go on sale Monday, Oct. 30, starting at 10 a.m. Purchases may be made at the Old Missouri Bank Box Office at JQH Arena, by phone at (417) 836-7678 or on-line at MissouriStateBears.com/tickets.
