LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Missouri State women's tennis team wrapped up the fall 2017 season on Saturday in the consolation singles bracket at the ITA Central Regional Championship presented by Oracle at the Jayhawk Tennis Center and Sports Pavilion Lawrence.
"Another tough day today, but the level of matches we got to play is what we needed," head women's tennis coach
Mallory Weber said. "We had opportunities to play the best of the best in our region and there were moments we hung right with them."
Senior
Anelisse Torrico Moreno picked up a first set victory, but dropped the next two, to fall 4-6, 6-1, 10-7 to Nebraska's Hayley Hackensaad.
"I'm looking forward to our Spring schedule and having the opportunity to play so many matches at home," said Weber.
Missouri State opens the 2018 spring season on January 28, when the Bears host SIU-Edwardsville at Cooper Tennis Complex.
