Jack Knoesel has been named Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after leading the Bears to a sixth-place finish at a tournament earlier this week. Knoesel finished third of 69 players at the UMKC/Bill Ross Intercollegiate in suburban Kansas City on Tuesday (Oct. 10), firing 71-70-74--215, one under par over 54 holes at Milburn Golf and Country Club.
A native of Columbia, Mo., Knoesel currently is ranked third in the Valley with a 72.33 scoring average in three tournaments. He's posted top-20 finishes in all three, placing 13th at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate and 20th at the SIUE/Derek Dolenc Invitational. He and his teammates will close out the fall portion of their schedule Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 16-17) at the Austin Peay/F&M Bank Invitational.
