Final Results

KANSAS CITY – Missouri State's men's golf squad completed play Tuesday at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate here and wrapped the event right where it started – in sixth place in the field of 12 teams at Milburn Golf and Country Club.

The Bears followed Monday's rounds of 294 and 292 with a 304 on Tuesday to finish one stroke behind fifth-place Bradley (889). Grand Canyon (871) earned top team honors ahead of host UMKC (877), South Dakota (878) and SIU Edwardsville (886) to round out the top four.

Missouri State was led by junior Jack Knoesel who finished third overall out of 69 competitors with 71-70-74—215 and 10 strokes ahead of teammates Brad Carpenter (73-77-75—225) and John Fuchs (72-74-79—225) who tied for 24^th. Knoesel carded par on 13 of 18 holes on Tuesday with birdies on 13 and 17 to keep his stranglehold on third place.

Remaining Bears Kory Franks and Lukas McCalla both tied for 46^th place with identical 54-hole scores of 229.

Grand Canyon's Vinnie Murphy (71-70-70—211) won top individual honors, three strokes ahead of South Dakota's Matt Tolan (69-69-76—214) and four strokes ahead of Knoesel who was the top Missouri Valley player at the meet.

Coach Neal Stafford's club will wrap up its five-match fall slate next Monday and Tuesday at the Austin Peay/F&M Bank Intercollegiate in Dickson, Tenn.
