ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Junior forward
Andrea Soler Codina scored her first goal of the season in Missouri State's (0-4) 4-1 loss to the Saint Louis Billikens (1-4) this afternoon.
Missouri State got on the board in the 18
th minute after Soler Codina scored the Bears' lone goal from the right side off a feed from junior
Bianca Mills.Â
The Billikens answered Missouri State with a goal from Sophia Cheever off a corner play in the 26
th minute. After the start of the second half Saint Louis found the back of the cage again, this time with a goal coming from Allison Pinnock off a corner play in the 37
th minute.
Saint Louis scored two more goals late in the second half to solidify their lead. Molly Feid scored in the 55
th minute and Maya Bentley added to the Billikens score in the 57
th minute off a corner play to take a 4-1 lead over the Bears.
Missouri State fired six of its 14 shots in the second half, but was unable to overcome the 4-1 deficit.

The Bears return to action Sept. 22 in Missouri State's home opener against LIU Brooklyn. Missouri State will also host UC Davis on Friday, Sept. 24, and Pacific on Monday, Sept. 26.
