CHICAGO, Ill. - The weekend series between Missouri State and Loyola has undergone a schedule change due to forecasted cold temps in the Chicago area on Saturday. The Bears and Ramblers will now play a single game at noon on Saturday, if temperatures reach the league mandated minimum temperature standard of 35 degrees by game time. The teams will face off again on Sunday with a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m.
The Bears (13-16, 2-3) enter the weekend with the nation's third-ranked defense and are coming off a convincing victory over Arkansas on Tuesday. Loyola (16-12, 0-5) won its home opener on Wednesday to snap a six-game losing streak.
Following this weekend's action in Chicago, the Bears return to Killian Stadium for a five-game home stand beginning with a 6:00 p.m. contest against Central Arkansas on Wednesday (April 6). Missouri State will face SIU on April 9-10 for Legacy Weekend. A free youth clinic will be held following the April 10 game.
