The Missouri State Lady Bears will play their final road game until mid-January Wednesday when they make the short trip to Tulsa for a 7 p.m. contest at Oral Roberts (4-4).
The game will be Missouri State's sixth true road date of the season and seventh away from home, and MSU is 2-5 against that schedule that also includes four Power Five opponents so far.
After Wednesday, the Lady Bears will play their next six games at JQH Arena, taking on Arkansas (Dec. 11), North Texas (Dec. 17) and Middle Tennessee (Dec. 19) before the holiday break, and opening the Missouri Valley Conference season with three home games, beginning Dec. 30 against Drake. MSU's next game away from home is set for Jan. 13 at Evansville.
The Lady Bears are primed for improvement now that the calendar has turned to December if recent history is any indication. Since Kellie Harper took over in 2013, MSU owns a 52-29 (.642) post-November record, including a 39-15 (.722) mark the previous two seasons.
Series History
Missouri State is 8-9 all-time against Oral Roberts, but 6-4 in the last 10 meetings.
Wednesday's game will be the 10th meeting in less than nine years, dating to Dec.15,
2007. The Lady Bears are the last road team to win in the series, claiming an 85-79 victory in Tulsa in 2012.
