NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri State junior Phil Woods added another piece of hardware to his collection as he was selected to the NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region second team, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on Tuesday (Dec. 15). It is the midfielder's first all-region selection and the seventh-consecutive season a Bear has been granted NSCAA scholar honors.

Woods' all-region selection marks his third accolade commemorating his performance in the classroom and on the field for the Bears in the 2015 season.

A 2015 All-Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention, he had an impressive junior campaign for the Bears grabbing a game-winning goal against Eastern Illinois and contributing three assists on the season. He was granted a spot on the MVC scholar-athlete honorable mention team to wrap up his league accolades.

An entertainment management major, Woods was awarded CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District honors this season for his 3.85 cumulative grade point average.
