The Missouri State Lady Bears (4-9, 1-1 MVC) wrap up their long homestand Friday at 7 p.m. by hosting Missouri Valley Conference-favorite Wichita State (11-3, 2-0) at JQH Arena. The game will air live on ESPN3 as part of the league's television package, with Scott Warmann and Jill Hutchison on the call.
Friday's game is "We Back Pat Night," a national and MVC initiative to help raise Alzheimer's awareness and support the foundation of Pat Summitt. Fans are encouraged to wear purple as two of Summitt's former Tennessee players face off as head coaches.
Donations will be accepted for the foundation, and t-shirts will be sold by the MSU Bookstore. There will also be a silent auction with several Pat Summitt items up for bid.
Missouri State is also hosting Kids Night on Friday, which features a postgame autograph session with the Lady Bears in the JQH Arena concourse.
