SPRINGFIELD - The Missouri State Bears (2-1-2) and the Central Arkansas Bears (2-2-0) are set to kick off Missouri Valley Conference play Friday night in Conway, Ark. The game is the first conference matchup on the league's schedule, and both team's only in September.

Missouri State will be coming off of a co-championship performance at the SMU Invitational to play UCA. Although MSU holds the all-time series, games in Conway are split across the board for the two teams at 1-1-1. Two of those three games were double overtime affairs, with no team scoring more than one game in any individual contest. Most recently, Missouri State blanked Central Arkansas when the two met in Springfield last October.

UCA started the season with two wins, but dropped both of this past weekend's games on a difficult California trip to even their record.

Missouri State is also coming off of a sweep of the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week awards with Jack Wood being named Offensive Player and James Fawke earning Defensive Player distinction.

The game will be available to watch on the web courtesy of Central Arkansas' free live stream. Kickoff at Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex is scheduled for 7 p.m. central time.
