
Pfeiffer Nets First Career Goal as Bears Fall at Arkansas

Junior goalkeeper Laura Ketzer earned her first career start and was tested early. She allowed a goal in the third minute of play off of an Arkansas corner, but four saves in the next 14 minutes.
Freshman Mary Disidore got the Bears' first scoring opportunity, registering a shot in the eighth minute and forcing the Razorbacks goalkeeper to make a stop.
The Razorbacks upped the lead in the 20th minute with a header goal. Another Arkansas goal in the 40th minute pushed the Bears' deficit to 3-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Arkansas added a pair of goals in the 64th and 65th minute to make it a 5-0 match.
Pfeiffer was able to get the Bears on the board in the 71st minute with the first goal of her career. Senior Kelsey Fouch assisted on the goal, her third assist of the season.
The Razorbacks scored another goal in the 77th minute to make it a 6-1 final. The Bears were out-shot 30-4 in the match.
Missouri State returns home for three-straight matches beginning on September 19 at 7:00 p.m. against UALR. MSU will also face SIU Edwardsville (Sept. 21) and Nebraska-Omaha (Sept. 25) on the home stand.
