KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri State senior defender Kelsey Fouch added yet another piece of hardware to her impressive collection as she was selected to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Great Lakes Region third team, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday (Dec. 3). It is her first all-region selection and the first by a Bear since fellow defender Nia Williams earned third team honors in 2012.

Fouch adds the all-region selection to an already lengthy list of accolades from her outstanding senior season. She was an All-MVC first team selection for the second-consecutive season and picked up two MVC Defensive Player of the Week laurels on the year (Sept. 9 and Oct. 17). She was also named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team and the Capital One Academic All-District VI first team. Fouch earned MVC All-Tournament team honors and was a Senior CLASS Award candidate.

The vocal defensive leader, Fouch played the most minutes on the team this season (1,733) and was one of four players to start every match. This season, she was second on the team with five assists and scored her first career goal, the game-winner, at UNI in the MVC Tournament quarterfinal.
