MSU opened its season with a 79-63 loss at Memphis, while UALR began its 2014-15 campaign by defeating 24th-ranked LSU by a 70-54 final in Baton Rouge.
The Lady Bears have three games over the next seven days as a trip to Oklahoma follows with games at Oklahoma State on Nov. 22 and Oral Roberts on Nov. 24.

The Trojans won six consecutive Sun Belt Conference West Division titles before the league transitioned to a single grouping last year, and are picked to finish second in the 11-team league this season. The Trojans return four starters, including preseason all-SBC selections Taylor Gault and Kiera Clark.

Kenzie Williams and
Tyonna Snow. Williams led the Lady Bears in scoring with 14.8 points per game as a sophomore, while Snow added 13.3 points per contest and ranked fifth nationally with 93 steals.
NiJay Gaines, who averaged 3.4 points and 4.5 boards last year, is the team's only senior, as nine of the 13 players on the roster are freshmen or sophomores. Five of the team's six freshmen earned all-state recognition following their high school senior seasons.
