SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Missouri State women's soccer team (4-6-1, 0-1-0) will host Indiana State (3-6-3, 0-1-0) at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in a pivotal early conference showdown. All fans will be admitted free on Friday in an attempt to break the attendance record of 905 set back in 1999.

"We only have three home conference matches," said head coach Rob Brewer, "so it is important for us to squeeze out as many points at home as possible. Indiana State is a quality team, picked second in the league, so they will be trying to recoup from a home loss."

The Bears and Sycamores each dropped their conference openers last week by identical 2-0 scores. The points at stake on Friday could go a long way towards determining the MVC Tournament field at the end of the season.

Senior Molly Huber racked up her sixth and seventh goals of the season last Thursday in a come-from-behind victory over Nebraska Omaha. It was the second-straight match in which a Bear had scored multiple goals (Molly Brewer had two goals against SIU Edwardsville on Sept. 21) after MSU had gone more than two seasons with a player scoring more than once in a match.

Junior goalkeeper Laura Ketzer earned her second victory in the win over Omaha. Then in Sunday's Valley opener, she compiled 10 second-half saves, and made 14 in total, against the Redbirds, the most by an MSU keeper since Jackie Jasper made 14 in 2006.

Following Friday's match, the Bears will travel to Lawrence, Kan., for the final non-conference match of the season versus the Jayhawks. The match against KU can be seen on ESPN3. MSU will return home next week with another conference match against Evansville on Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
