SPRINGFIELD -- Former Missouri State volleyball players Jamie Adams and Bethany Fuller have been named to the 19-player roster for the Heart of America Havoc of the Premier Volleyball League, a professional, region-based indoor women's league sanctioned by USA Volleyball. The PVL season began Feb. 16 and runs through May 29.
Adams was an outside hitter for Missouri State from 2004-07, playing on three NCAA Tournament teams. Originally from Liberty, Mo., Adams was a two-time second-team all-Missouri Valley Conference selection, and made the league Scholar-Athlete team following both her junior and senior seasons. She averaged 3.90 kills per set as a senior to rank ninth on MSU's single-season list in that category, while her 2.80 career kill average rates 10th in school history.
Fuller played middle blocker for the Bears from 2007-10 and also played in three NCAA Tournaments. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Fuller became the school's first CVU.com National Player of the Week following Missouri State's 2008 MVC Tournament Championship. Fuller posted 17 kills and seven blocks with a .593 hitting percentage against then-unbeaten and ninth-ranked Wichita State as the Bears stunned the Shockers on their home floor en route to the tournament title.
