SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Missouri State men's soccer team (7-3-1) has won three straight games, and looks to continue the hot stretch against Oral Roberts (4-5-1) on Tuesday evening at Plaster Field.

The Bears and Golden Eagles played earlier in the season, where the Bears fell short 1-0, despite outshooting ORU in the game.

In spite of the result of the initial meeting between the two schools, Missouri State is entering Tuesday's match playing some of their best soccer of the season.

During the current three-match win streak, the Bears have recorded three shutouts and are plus five in goal differential.

With the three-straight shutouts, the Bears rank 6th nationally in goals against average and 10th nationally in shutout percentage. Individually, goalkeeper Trevor Spangenberg ranks 6th nationally in goals against average.

Missouri State has stared Missouri Valley Conference competition with a 2-0 mark, two shutouts, and a +4 goal differential. The Bears are the first conference team to reach two wins and the only MVC team to not concede a goal thus far in conference play.

Coming into Tuesday's game, ORU is playing good soccer as well. The Golden Eagle's current 4-1 stretch is the best of the season for the team thus far, and has also given Oral Roberts a 2-0 start in Southland Conference play.

Midfielder Edward Mira, who scored against the Bears in the first meeting between the two schools, leads ORU with three goals and seven points on the season.

The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:00 on Tuesday at Plaster Sports Complex. Live stats will be available through Gametracker at the link above.
