The MSU Cheerleaders finished fifth in the Universal Cheerleaders Association Division 1 finals. It marked the squad's eighth consecutive top-five national finish.

Morehead State successfully defended its Division 1 cheer title, followed by Delaware, Cal State Sacramento, Wichita State and Missouri State.

At the Universal Dance Association Nationals, the Sugar Bears dance team finished ninth in the Division 1 jazz competition and advanced to the finals of Sunday's hip hop competition.
