AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Missouri State senior diver Eric Ducourneau opened the 2011 Zone "D" regional with a total score of 566.65, earning a 16th place finish. He also competed off the three-meter board, scoring 626.25, finishing 15th overall. Ducourneau was one of 23 divers to compete in the meet.
Its a familiar finish for Ducourneau. In last year's zones, he scored 524.55 on the one-meter, placing 16th, while also scoring 602.5 on the three-meter to place 15th. Last year's field featured 25 divers.
This is the last meet of Ducourneu's career. He will graduate as the school record-holder on the three-meter board (six dives) and third all-time on the one-meter (six dives). Though his competitive career is over, Ducourneau plans on returning next year to assist diving coach Jim Huelskamp during practice.
