Abby Padlock and
Shelby Strang have both chosen to join the MSU volleyball program and will be freshmen this fall.
Padlock comes to Missouri State from Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wis., where she was a four-year varsity letterwinner and won a state title her senior season. The 5-8 multi-position player ranks second in school history in both career kills (897) and digs (1,214) and eighth in service aces (118), while earning all-conference honors twice and all-state accolades as a junior.
Strang was s four-year starter for the Champaign (Ill.) Central Maroons and owns the school’s career record for digs with 1,415. As a senior, Strang was a team captain and garnered all-state, all-conference, all-area and team MVP honors after piling up 412 digs, 316 kills and 39 aces. She received the same set of individual honors her junior season and was an all-conference and all-area pick as a freshman.
