Missouri State has announced the addition of two transfers for the men’s soccer team for the 2009 season. Both student-athletes are enrolled in classes for the spring semester.
Paul Paradise (6-0’, Jr., Forward, Pittsburgh, Pa.) joins the Bears after playing two seasons for West Virginia University. In his two seasons with Mountaineers, he started and lettered as a forward, finishing his two seasons with a 19-14-8 combined record. He attended Plum High in Pittsburgh. where he was a four-year starter and letterman for the Mustangs as a forward and midfielder.
Trent Reid (5-10, Jr., Forward, Martinsburg, W.Va.) comes to MSU after spending two seasons at Old Dominion University. After redshirting his first season, he made six appearances and 134 minutes including one start. Reid attended Martinsburg High where he was a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs at midfielder. Reid had an impressive prep career in which he led the Bulldogs to their first appearance in the state final-four while recording 105 goals and 79 assists. He was first team all-state on both the West Virginia high school coaches and sports writers teams in consecutive seasons
