Men's Soccer Team Announces Spring Exhibition Schedule

Missouri State Men’s soccer head coach Jon Leamy has announced his team’s 2009 spring exhibition schedule. The Bears will stay in state to face Missouri S&T, Saint Louis University and the Kansas City Wizards. The Bears will also host their annual Alumni game at Plaster Field.

 

The Bears will open their spring schedule at home against Missouri S&T at Plaster Field on Saturday, February 28 at 11 a.m.  The two squads will face off again that afternoon in an 8-on-8 tournament at the Missouri State Intramural Field at 2 p.m.

 

MSU will continue exhibition play against Saint Louis University on Saturday, April 4 in St. Louis.  The first squads of each team will face off in the opening match of the day with a second squad matchup to follow. The time for the game will be announced at a later date.

 

Missouri State returns to Plaster Field for the annual Missouri State Alumni game on Saturday, April 18.  The current Bears will face off against former standouts and fan favorites in a contest that will begin at 3 p.m.

 

The Bears conclude their spring exhibition schedule with a mid-week premiere matchup against the MLS Kansas City Wizards.  The game will be held in Kansas City on Wednesday, April 29 at 11 a.m.

 

The team will likely add two more contests this spring with details to be announced at a later date.
